FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Asheboro, NC, 8/15/05
Sapona Plastics has initially selected Alibre Design software for 3D
modeling and design communication. The software is used to develop
new products and review customer designs. "3D parametric
modeling software is an important tool as we provide full service
engineering and design input. Our extensive experience in plastic
molding coupled with early involvement in design helps ensure our
customers' success" according to Dean Lail, president of the company. Alibre was selected for it's ease of use, on line support, and low cost. We are already fully up to speed with the capabilities of the software having completed multiple new designs in addition to completing the online training and tutorials. Alibre also offers online interactive technical assistance where an experienced support person can assist with design techniques. Alibre is able to import most common interchange formats. Eventually, plans are to add Solidworks so more native files can be opened directly. We have experience designing with both Solidworks and Alibre, and are impressed with the value Alibre offers. Alibre Inc. offers Alibre Design, a low-cost 3D parametric solid modeling application which provides 3D mechanical design, real-time collaboration and data sharing and management. The online, CAD-neutral environment enables companies to securely share precise design data -- reducing costs, shortening manufacturing cycles, improving productivity and driving quality. Founded in 1997, Alibre Inc. is led by visionaries who sought to harness the communication and distributed computing power of the Internet to enable product design teams to work simultaneously and interactively on shared 3D designs. Alibre is based in Richardson, Texas -- a Dallas suburb and high-technology center that's also home to the Telecommunications Corridor. www.alibre.com/ |
