Responsibilities: 

• To provide timely mold and machine set-ups to assure production schedules and customer requirements are met.  Works in a manner to meet the goals and objectives for plant utilization and efficiency.

 
Qualifications:

• Must be able to safely operate forklifts and/or moving equipment.
• Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated.
• Must be capable of heavy lifting; as required.

 
Job Duties:
 
AT ALL MOLD CHANGES

• Inspects all threads in the Platens
• Make sure that all threads in the platen can retain clamp bolts and mold clamps.
• Make sure that all mold clamps are tight and secure .
• Report any Issues to management that need to be repaired before mold is set.
• Understands that no one is allowed underneath a mold without proper mold clamps, mold closed, and secured with a chain to a forklift or a crane .

 

• Assures a neat and clean molding area.

• Cleans machine after set-ups and removes any unnecessary tools or auxiliary equipment from the area prior to start-up. 
• Assures a safe work environment and maintains safe work habits.
• Understands how to properly Operate the Boom making sure it is properly secured with bolts and chain when in use .
• Understands how to properly complete Mold Tags and read Mold Tags R-Tool 5007 / R-Tool -5002

• Performs mold and machine set-ups and changes as required by the production schedule signs the order after completion and places on the machine.
• Enter Information in the process monitoring system, Clariprod for every job.
• Provides complete set-up including any auxiliary equipment, conveyors, work tables etc.
• Uses Protectant on the mold before pulling it out

• Performs preventive maintenance as required on molding machines and auxiliary equipment.

• Works closely with the Tool Shop and Manufacturing.
• The above listed duties in no way exclude any reasonable job related request of the Supervisor.
