The governor of North Carolina has declared a state of emergency and the World Health Organization has declared COVID-19 a Pandemic. We would like to thank our workers and suppliers who have maintained operations at full capacity, while at the same time striving to keep social distance, staying home when not at work, and staying home if sick. To date we have not had any cases of COVID-19. We believe there has been one case in Randolph County. Schools are closed and this puts additional hardship on workers with children. We have implemented our pandemic policy per guidance from the CDC and others and are keeping in close contact with our industry and government officials. We believe that we are an essential business for more than half of the products we produce including telecommunications, energy, air filtration, pharmacy and household cleaning supplies. Therefore, we expect to stay open unless we experience a confirmed case of COVID-19, whereupon we would shut down for 3 days to sanitize and clean, returning to operation with non-symptomatic workers as quickly as possible. Our objectives are to reduce transmission among workers, to protect workers who are at a higher risk due to age, or chronic illness, maintain business operations, provide safe jobs for workers and minimize impact on customers. Everyone’s cooperation is necessary for the measures to be effective that are being taken nationally and within our business locally. Communication is important so let us know if you have concerns.
