North Carolina is threatened by Hurricane Florence. The storm has weakened to Category 2 and moving slowly. The track of the eye of the storm is expected to miss our location but we do expect heavy rain, wind and possible power outages. Most freight lines are holding freight today in or out of NC. We are watching the storm closely. Our thoughts are with those in more coastal regions and along rivers that are subject to flooding for their safety. We are monitoring the status of the storm. We will post any closings on WFMY News 2 and on facebook @SaponaPlastics. At this time plant 2 will close Friday, 9/14/18 at 4PM.

The storm caused significant damage, particularly in AL and with flooding affecting many areas long after the initial landfall. Is there something specific you’d like to know about it? Thank you for taking the time to write a great post!
